Professional Experience

2002-Pres. Director of Computer (Web) Based Training Programs, Radiation Safety Academy. Architect and engineer of the Academy’s RadTrainOnline (RTO) web-based training system. Since the debut of the innovative and industry-leading www.RadTrainOnline.com in July 2003, has designed and implemented custom web-based training portals for a large federal agency and several high-tech companies. RTO now provides over 20 different courses available to the public along with custom on-line training content provided to client companies across the US. Provides primary technical support of Academy's web-based training offerings with thousands of trainees nationwide.

Her experience goes beyond just web page design and includes incorporation of a variety of tools and knowledge to result in successful web application development including computer programming, database administration, use of graphic design tools and web design.

2002 Special Events Coordinator, Argus International Inc. Handled and organized client documents in order to execute planned events. These projects included coordinating events such as dinners, and VIP treatments.
2002 Technical Instructor, Internet Immersion. Taught basic internet skills as well as web design which included HTML, graphic design, and concepts of linking and image implementation. Taught four classes of Internet Immersion of which she created and designed 90% course curriculum and content on web page. Created handouts to keep track of the students’ information. Performed data entry into Access database which allowed restricted access to students in the class. Filed parental permission slips for the students to participate.
2001 Technical Instructor, Vignette Corporation. Taught the underlying principles of the Vignette V/5 platform. Technical topics included content management, caching strategies, database usage, web server implementation, architecture, Tcl/Tk, templates, live/development server relation, personalization, etc. V/5 implementation roles are based on experience. Taught the business and technical tasks that the team would follow to fulfill the customer requirements (business rules) and project requirements (technical). Documentation of functional specifications. Assessment of team member’s expertise and assignment of responsibilities based on experience. Developed workflow architectural designs and database structure based on business requirements. Code (template) implementation. Installed Vignette software and prepared computer environment at teaching sites. Designed databases for data entry of students.
2000 HTML Design Lecturer, Austin Business College. Designed Introduction to Web Design course curriculum. Lectured on basic to intermediate HTML (tables, fonts, colors, images, etc.). Each student presented his or her web site at the end of the course. Created weekly worksheets for students utilizing the copier to make several copies for each student and entered data into database for student grades.
1997 Intern, Research & Development Mechanical Engineer, Compaq Computer Corporation. Designed a node to affix a spring that is currently used as an integrated part of the docking station awarded “Docking Station of the Year” by PC Portable Magazine, November 1997. Gathered statistical data of a confidential product for analytical results, which influenced the announcement of the Armada products. Conducted analysis of audio frequency to best suit laptop installation. Compiled data into a spreadsheet to model graphs of the data. At weekly meetings, made copies of my data for the group members.
