This 40-hour class for training radiation safety officers is excellent. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and they present the material (which can be difficult to grasp at times) in an easy, understandable way. The amount of material and assistance far exceeds the cost of the course. I found that my initial training helped me to establish a very good program and become well- prepared for my 1st NRC audit two months after completing the course. Mentioning and showing certification from the Radiation Safety Academy pleased the NRC auditors. As a returning student, I have found the information to again be extremely valuable; especially, in identifying areas where I can improve my program. In short, I would highly recommend this course and this group of instructors if anyone has a need for RSO training. Douglas Brown September 2008
